SUMMARY:DeafLink Community Series - American Sign Language Level 2 Class - Registration Open
DESCRIPTION:DeafLink will be offering ASL Level 2 Classes on Wednesdays from 6-8 PM at the Allen County Public Library (Alan McMahan Room) beginning March 15th. \nThe instructor will guide you through the understanding of Deaf culture while developing and learning the level 2 of American Sign Language (ASL) for better communication skills. If you have met someone who is Deaf at a store\, while at work\, or in the community but found yourself wanting to communicate more\, this class is for you. Topics will include grammar\, Deaf culture\, vocabulary terms for family members\, activities\, places\, letters\, numbers\, and more! \nClass Dates are:  March (15\, 22\, 29); April (5\, 12\, 19\, 26); and May (3\, 10\, 17).  Cost is only $100. \nTo register contact at 260-488-8230 or download the registration form from the DeafLink Facebook Page

DESCRIPTION:With the support of the AWS Foundation\, IUFW and the Inclusion Institute of the League invite you to attend the free ADA Amplified Spring 2023 Symposium on Fair Housing. \nThe League Board President\, Ronald Duchovic will be a keynote speaker for this event. The in-person three-part symposium hosted in the International Ballroom on the IUFW/PFW campus from 10-2 on March 22nd focuses on fostering greater awareness\, diversity\, and inclusion for people with disabilities and creating a movement for meaningful change.  Free lunch will be provided. \nThe symposium will address several aspects affecting the intersection of disabilities and housing in our community.
