The League is participating in the United Way of Allen County’s 6th Annual Food Drive, collecting non-perishable food items for the Community Harvest, Miss Virginia’s Pantry, and The Associated Churches’ Food Banks. If you would like to donate items, please drop them off at our office at 5821 S. Anthony Mon-Thu  8 AM – 5 PM or Fri 8 AM to 3 PM until March 3rd.  No glass containers or homemade items please.

The League’s Benefit Enrollment Center

Helping low-income Medicare beneficiaries throughout Indiana obtain the “extra-help” benefits they may be missing out on.

Benefits you may qualify for

The League’s Benefit Enrollment Center is designed by the National Council on Aging (NCOA).  It is the only center in the state of Indiana enrolling Medicare beneficiaries in all the extra help benefits available to them.

Medications & Health

You may qualify for assistance paying for prescriptions, monthly premiums, annual deductables, and co-pays.

 

  • Medicare Savings Program (MSP): Cost savings for Part A & B premiums
  • Medicare Part D Extra Help (LIS): Cost savings with prescription plan
  • Medicaid

Food & Groceries

Food costs and grocery bills are rising, but monthly incomes are not increasing with the cost of living.  Get the extra help with food and groceries you deserve!

Supplemental Nutrician Assistance Program (SNAP):  Helps low-income people and families buy the food they need for good health.

 

Heat & Energy

If you’re having trouble with heating & cooling, utility shutoffs, fuel supply shortages, or weatherization improvements, we may be able to help.

Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP):  Funding for heating/cooling your home.
