2025 Race 4 Independence

Registration is Open!
The League will host the inaugural Race 4 Independence on July 26, 2025 – a celebration of the 35th anniversary
of the Americans with Disabilities Act and part of our 75th anniversary year. This inclusive event invites runners,
walkers, wheelchair users, human guides, and supporters of all abilities to come together in movement and
advocacy. We have a 7.5K (Run/Walk), 5K (Run/Walk), and 2.5K (Walk) course options. We will award medals to the
top male, female, and non-binary winners of each category. There are divisions for wheelchair (push rims, hand cycle, and power chair), low vision (human guide or independent), and ambulatory (assisted device or independent) at the 2.5K distance.

$25 Per Division:
2.5 K (Wheelchair User) – Push rims, hand cycle, or motorized
2.5 K (Low Vision) – Use of a human guide or independently
2.5 K (Ambulatory) – Use of a walking device (cane, walker, etc.)
