Apply for the Leadership Academy
What is the Leadership Academy?
The Leadership Academy is a program within the Inclusion Institute that provides leadership training through a hybrid of virtual courses and in-person sessions designed by and for people with disabilities with a focus on storytelling. The curriculum consists of eight modules that have both online sections and in-person class sessions.
We accept applications from eligible residents within our service area who have a disability, as well as allies who have an interest in disability advocacy.
In addition to building leadership skills, the Leadership Academy places members on boards, commissions, committees, and councils. Graduates of the Leadership Academy will have a greater understanding of disability rights, history, and advocacy. Graduates will take the knowledge and skills they acquire throughout the program to use their voice in decision making positions.
